Starbucks in Seattle (Giveaway)

Last week after arriving in Seattle late on Sunday night and crashing at the Westin I woke up on Monday morning craving Starbucks. I'm sure it will come as no shock that there was one directly across the street from the hotel. After enjoying a skinny vanilla latte I was ready to start my day and begin my adventures in Seattle!

I normally don't reuse instagram photos but I love this shot from that morning
A couple of hours later I had reunited with Jenn and her friends and we took off down to Pike's Market and I made a trip into the original Starbucks. Jenn says if they are being historically accurate it is actually the fourth location. She's the expert so I trust her to know the truth!

Not much to look at from the outside

Crazy crowded on the inside!

On this trip I purchased a travel mug for Allan and a giftcard for myself that is sold only at this location. I knew we would be making another trip with Caroline later in the week so I didn't feel bad for not getting a drink while I was in there.

outside of the front door

just in case you hadn't already gotten the memo that this is the first Starbucks store
On Wednesday while Jenn and I were out and about doing lunch and a little bit of shopping we had a little afternoon pick me up and I had a white chocolate mocha.

I felt like I had to take a picture since I was showered, my hair was straightened, and I was wearing makeup!
Once the weekend rolled around Caroline, Jenn, and I made our way back to Pike's I was ready for a tall pumpkin spice latte. I also picked up a bag of Pike's Place Special Reserve coffee for our neighbors who are so sweet to watch our house and get our mail when we are out of town. I'm happy to report that no crazy behavior followed my pumpkin spice latte consumption this time!

the ladies were working their tails off

Now I can go home happy!
Once I arrived home Monday night I practically jumped up and down when I saw this had arrived while I was gone:

Officially a Gold Card holder!

To borrow the words of the Best Buy lady when Allan asked why he was a Premium Reward Zone member, "You've spent a crap ton of money here but I guess you probably didn't need me to tell you that." Pretty sure the same applies here.

To celebrate my trip to the original Starbucks store I had to get you guys a little something so one lucky person will win a $10 Starbucks card so you can treat yourself to your favorite Starbucks beverage. The card holder tells you a little more about the first Starbucks store and the picture on the card is perfect but I'll save that for when I reveal the winner. Just leave a comment to be eligible to win! I'll announce a winner next Friday on October 12.

That's cool that you are running Rocket City. It was my first marathon as well. I did it in 2004. It's a small scale marathon, and that's the way I like it. No crowds, just the right amount of people...friendly...and FLAT!!! I am nervous and excited!!!
